Former Cabinet Secretary for Health Mutahi Kagwe who was famous during covid 19 for his outspoken nature againast covid has been sworn in today along with former governor Kabogo and Lee Kinyanjui.
This comes days after a broad based government was formed by president Ruto amid pressure from the Gen Z that led to mass street protests that led to invassion of parliament buildings in Nairobi.
The protests forced president William Ruto to dismiss the whole cabinet only leaving the prime CS Musalia Mudavadi. Later the president formed a new cabinet incorporating members of the opposition in what was termed the broad based government.
The appointment of the three attribute to a meeting of preaident William Ruto and former president Uhuru Kenyatta when Ruto visited him in his Ichaweri home opening the way for Uhuru men to join the cabinet.
The three cabinet secretaries were sworn in today in state house Nairobi after they were approved by the National Assembly and names forwarded to the president.
During the swearing in, the president said the 3 cabinet secretaries brings new energy to the government as the government is struggling to deliver its mandate to the people of kenya.
