Eliud Owalo resigns

The Deputy chief of staff government delivery has resigned from his position today. This follows his declaration to run for president of the republic of Kenya in the year 2027 to compete against president William Samoei Ruto.

Owalo statement

” Following my declaration earlier today that I intend to run for Presidency of the Republic of Kenya in the year 2027, my position as the Deputy Chief of Staff, Delivery and Government Efficiency is no longer Tenable.” his statement read

Presidential candidate declaration

Eliud Owalo had earlier declared his intention to vie for the presidency of the Republic of Kenya. This follows a requirement by the the constitution of Kenya which states that a person is not qualified to be nominated as presidential candidate if he holds any public office.
