Kenya Railways responds why they demolished wamatangi business

The Kenya Railways corporation has finally spoken concerning the demolition of wamatangi business premises that were demolished last night. Wamatangi’s businesses were demolished alongside other premises which are in the Kenya Railways land near Nyayo stadium.
Demolision of all structures in the Kenya Railways land
After criticism by Wamatangi and the opposition over the demolition. Kenya Railways has come out to clear the air on why the premises were destroyed. In a statement see by Cliff Media crew, Kenya Railways states that all encroachers of Kenya Railways land were notified in good time to vacate or else they be removed.
Notice to Vacate Kenya Railways Land
Kenya Railways had earlier issued a vacation notice to all encroachers of Kenya Railways land in good time but they did not comply thus forcing them to act accordingly. “..All encroachers were advised and issued with notices to vacate the railway corridor in good time.” read part of the the statement issued by Kenya Railways management.
Why thebusiness premises were demolished
The Kenya Railways demolished the business premises in Nyayo stadium since they sit ob the kenya railways land. Another reason for the demolition is that the Kenya Railways had issued a notice to all the encroachers of railways land but they failed to vacate as advised.
Building of a Kenya Railways station in Nyayo
Kenya Railways in intending to build a station in Nyanyo. In this regard Kenya Railways had to demolish any encroachers illegal structures in the corridor to pave way for the construction of a railways station in the said area.
