While launching the new facility at Dagoret, the Chief Justice of the supreme court of Kenya Martha Koome said, the facility will contribute to administration of justice to the people of Kenya.
“The establishment of the Dagoretti Law Courts is a critical step towards ensuring that justice is not only accessible but also swift and efficient. As we open this new facility, we are effectively addressing the pressing need to decongest the Kibera and Kikuyu court stations. This will not only alleviate the caseload pressure on these courts but will also reduce the distance and time that community members need to travel to seek justice.
As the Judicial Service Commission, we are steadfast in our mandate to promote the efficient and effective administration of justice in Kenya. We recognize that a justice system that serves the people must be accessible, transparent, and responsive to their needs. The opening of the Dagoretti Law Courts is a manifestation of our continued dedication to a judicial system that upholds the rule of law while prioritizing the needs of the people.” Isaac Rutto JSC Vice Chairperson.
