Kenyans were awaken by a trending CCTV footage of police officers assaulting innocent youths playing pool table in Nandi County. Kenyans online have condemned the incident calling on relevant authorities to take action against the police officers involved in the inhumane act.
What happened in the pool table in Nandi County
In the CCTV footage dating to 10/01/2026 around 11pm, the youths are seen playing pool table game in a house with two pool tables. The youths had gathered to play the game they love and make themselves happy not knowing what was ahead of them later. The youths seem peaceful and calm until the unexpected happens and things seem to have turned around.
Police storm the pool table house
As they were playing the pool table game, about 10 police officers armed with rifles and rungus are seen entering the house that was peaceful. When the police entered the room where the youths were playing pool table, they started beating the youths ordering them to lie down. In the video a voice of a police officer is heard shouting, “ID kwa mdomo” meaning put your Identity card on your mouth. The youths were beaten and assaulted mercilessly by the police officers.
