There was concussion in Othaya on Sunday after alleged teargasing of former Deputy president Rigathi Gachagua who is challenged to have been abducted announced he was at his Wamunyoro village.
Contradicting statements by Malala and Gachagua
The DCP deputy party leader Cleophas Malala had released a press statement claiming Gachagua has been taken away by three men but as soon as Malala announces the abduction, Gachagua had already released a statement thanking the people of Othaya and saying he was safe at his home in Wamunyoro.
The former Vice president and wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka had also called on President William Ruto to release Rigathi Gachagua claiming they had looked for him everywhere without tracing him. This has raised concern as to where they were looking him at before claiming abduction.
On his social media page, Gachagua claims President Ruto had sent a killer squad to kill him in Othaya church saying there was use of teargas and live bullets during the occasion.
