After several days of battles from Parliament to the Senate and to the courts, Gachagua’s fight to remain in office came to an end when the courts declined to uphold orders barring the swearing in of Prof. Kindiki to succeed, him as the deputy president of the Republic of Kenya.
After the courts declining to uphold his application barring Kindiki swearing in, Kindiki was sworn in today in KICC to assume the office of the Deputy president replacing the ousted Deputy Rigathi Gachagua.
Gachagua took to social media to thank God for all the happenings that took place saying he is finally at home and he is grateful for the same. On his facebook post, Gachagua posted a photo of his wife together with their sons .
Kithure Kindiki becomes the 3rd deputy preaident of the Republic of Kenya under the promulgated new constitution 2010.
