Kisii County Police Commander, Mr. Ronald Kirui, CP, today led officers from the county to Bogiakumu Location, Bonyando Sub-Location, to condole with three families affected by the collapse of a building on 6th April 2025, which tragically claimed five lives.

Mr. Kirui expressed his heartfelt condolences, both personally and on behalf of the Police Service, acknowledging the profound loss suffered by the families—many of whom lost their breadwinners.

He assured the bereaved families of his support during this difficult time of mourning.

The sombre gathering was attended by local community leaders, village elders, Neighbours, and friends, as burial arrangements continue, scheduled for Tuesday, 22nd April 2025.

The police and community relationship is a vital role in national security. When the police come out to assist in times of trouble, they create trust and friendship which in turn helps in gathering intelligence form members of the public. This will help in prevention of crimes before they happen.
