
The office of the prime cabinet secretary headed by Musalia Mudavadi has issued a press statement stating the position of Musalia Mudavadi in political affiliation.
This comes days after there was widespread news that Mudavadi had acquired a new political party days after merging his Amani National Congress party with the United Democratic Alliance party which is owned by President William Samoei Ruto.
Amani National Congress and United Democratic Alliance
Until January when Amani National Congress party led by Musalia Mudavadi joined the United Democratic Alliance UDA led by President William Samoei Ruto, Amani National Congress party did not jin any other political party.
Integrity, honesty and dignity
In the statement issued by Jacob Ngetich who is the Director, press service in the office of the Prime Cabinet Secretary and ministry of Foreign and Diaspora Affairs, It states that Musalia Mudavadi has maintained honesty, dignity and has never had double face in the way he does his things.
Strongly in government
The statement notes that Musalia Mudavadi is strongly in government under the Kenya Kwanza Alliance Administration led by president William Samoei Ruto.
Merger was voluntary and endorsed by party members
In the statement issued, it indicates that the merger of amani National Congress ANC was endorsed by the party members of ANC and it was voluntary but not cohersed as rumours put it.
Top ANC leaders in the ruling party
The statement also states that most of the former Amani National Congress party officials are among the highest leaders in the ruling party United Democratic Alliance UDA including the deputy party leader position. They form part of the decision makers in the UDA party.
No intention of joining any other party
The statement also underscores that Musalia Mudavadi has no intention of joining any other political party but remains committed to his governments responsiblity of serving the people of Kenya dilligently.
