The president of the republic of Kenya H.E William Ruto has today made changes to the government in an excecutive order no. 1 of 2025 where he has caused nominations to and reassignment of state departments as well as postings to the nation’s foreign service.
The changes comes to harness the opportunities within emerging sectors of the economy as well as adressing challenges affecting Kenyans and promote the Bottom up economic transformation agenda.
Promotions and appointments

- In promotions, Mr Amos Gatecha was promoted from Principal Secretary Public service to deputy head of public service in the Excecutiveofficeof the president.
2. Professor Edward Kisiangani was appointed as senior advisor and member of the presidents council of economic affairs.
Principal secretaries Nominations

- Dr. Jane Kare Imbunya was nominated for appointment as Principal secretary State department for public service human capital development in the ministry of Public service human capital development and special programme.
- Ms. Regina Akoth Ombam was nominated for appointment as principal secretary state department for trade ministry of Investment trade and Industry.
- Mr. Cyrell Wagunda Oded nominated for appointment as principal secretary to the National treasury and economic planning in the state departnment for trade.
- Dr. Carolyne Wanjiku Karugu was also nominated for appointment as principal secreatry for East African Communiity affairs and the ASALs and regional development.
- Dr. Olunga Fredrick Ouma was nominated for appointment to the state department for mediacal services in the ministry of Health.
- Mr. Amed Abdisalan Ibrahim was nominated for appointment to the state department for National government cordination in the office of the prime cabinet secretary.
- Ms. Judith Naiyai Pareno was nominated for appointment as principal secreatry for Justice Human Rights and constitutional affairs in the office of the Attorney General.
- Bonface Makhoha nominated for appointment as principal secretary to the state department for Economic planning in the National Treasury and economic planning.
- Prof. Abdulrazak Shaukat nominated for appointment as principal secretary to the state department for science research and innovation in the ministry of Education which is a new positon in the government.
- Mr. Stephen Isaboke was nominated for appointment as principal secreatry to the state depatment for broadcasting and Telecommunications in the Ministry of Information communication and digital economy.
- Mr Michael Lenasalon was nominated for appointment to the state department for Devolution in the officeof the Deputy President.
- Mr. Fikirini Kahindi Jacobs was nominated for appointment to the state department for youth affairs in the ministry of labour and social protection.
- CPA Carren Agengo Achieng was nominated for appointment as principal secreatry for state department for Children welfare services in the ministry of labour and social protection.
- Mr. Adan Abdi Milla nominated for appointment as principal secretary in the state department for Shipping and Maritime affairs in the ministry of Mining, Blue economy and maritime affairs.

- Ms. Teresiah Mbaika – State department for Aviation and Aerospace development in the ministry of Roads and Transport.
- Mr. Ismael Madey – State department for special programmes in the ministry of Public service, Human capital development and special programmes.
- Mr. Harry Kimtai – State department for mining in the ministry of mining, Blue economy and maritime affairs.
- Mr. Elijah Mwangi – State department for sports in the ministry of youth affairs and sports.
- Dr. Belio Kipsang- state department for immigration and citizen services in the ministry of Interior and National Administration.

- Susan Nakhumincha Wafula – permanent Representative, permanent mission of Kenya to the UN Habitat Nairobi
- Mr. James Buyekane Muhati – Consul general Guangzhou peoples’ republic of China
- Mr. Abdi Dubat Fidhow – Consul General united republic of Tanzania
