
President William Ruto today 22nd January, 2026 ordered that all students joining Senior secondary Schools who are still stuck at home due to lack of school fees, other requirements and uniforms. This comes days after senior secondary school students begun reporting to grade 10 and a low turnout was recorded.
Report to school with or without uniforms
The president gave out this directive while addressing youths in Meru, Nyeri and Tharaka Nithi counties as he was leading the NYOTA capital to start businesses. President Ruto was with his deputy president H.E Prof. Kithure Kindiki who happens to come from the region.
On his directive, the preisent noted that there was enough money given by the government to schools to cater for the education needs of all learners in the country. The president noted that the learners should report with or without school uniforms noting taht they can use their junior primary school uniforms as they prepare to get one for the schools they join.
Report to the schools of your choice
President Ruto directed that the learners should report to the schools they were placed noting that the government of Kenya had released enough funds to schools to cater for education for all learners in the country.
He went ahead to say that even if the learners lacked school fees, they were supposed to report back to school to make sure there was 100 percent transition to senior secondary schools.
