President William Samoei Ruto, on sunday 05th April, 2025 ended his 5days of mt. kenya development tour which saw him going to several counties in mt. Kenya region launching various development projects in the region.

During his development tour to mt. Kenya, president Ruto visited Kirinyaga county, Laikipia county, Meru County, Nyeri county, Nyandarua County, Tharaka Nithi county, Kiambu county, Embu County and Maranga County.
Agenda of the development tour
During the development tour of the president William Samoei Ruto, the agenda was to deliver projects to the people of Mt. Kenya and to unite all Kenyans to work together as a country. The message of one Kenya one country reigned throughout the tour that went through the highlands, lowlands and plains of Mt. Kenya delivering government projects to the counties.

President William Ruto launched several projects in Mt. Kenya region which when fully complete will see the people of the mountain enjoy development and upgrade their living standards in various ways. Among projects launched include
- Last mile connectivity projects.
- Hostels for universities
- Water projects
- Affordable housing
- Classrooms
- modern markets
- Roads
Call for unity for all leaders
President William Ruto called for unity to the people of Kenya irrespective of where they come from and which political divide they come from. Accompanying the president throughout the tour of Mt. Kenya regions was the Deputy President Prof. Kithure Kindiki, Cabinet secretaries, principal secretaries, local members of parliament, governors, senators and members of county assemblies.

During the tour pf Mt. Kenya, the deputy president of the Republic of Kenya Prof. Kithure Kindiki called off critics for calling him ” Yes Sir” man. Prof. Kindiki stated firmly that He is the Deputy president to William Samoei Ruto.
Role of Deputy President of Kenya
The deputy president also rminded critics that his role as the deputy president was not to oppose the president but he is the principal assistant to the president. He called on those who are opposing the president to go the opposition so that they can oppose the president from that side.
