The president of the republic of kenya H.E Dr. William Samoei Ruto made a call to the president of somalia Hassan Sheik Mohamud to discuss matters of regional peace and stability for the mutual benefit of Kenya and Somalia.
In the telephone call, Kenya president Ruto and Somalia president Hassan Sheik Mohamud discussed the importance of cordinated efforts in addressing common security challenges affecting the two countries not forgetting the fight against terrorism that is threatening both regional and global peace.

Kenya and somalia have maintained a good diplomatic relationship over the years. Continued engagement of presidents from the twi countries continue to strengthen the diplomatic relationship between kenya and somalia
Trade cooperation
Kenya and Somalia has for a long time had cooperation in trade between the two countries. The cooperation has seen the two countries export to and import from each other goods therefore promoting business and development to its citizens.
The two presidents reassured each other of their continued cooperation in mattes of peace, trade and fight against terrorism. Through this the two countries are assured of a peaceful coexistence.
