    President William Ruto has made changes in his cabinet today where he has fired, reassigned and appointed members of the cabinet in an effort for the cabinet to achieve full strength a move that bolster the administrations capacity to continue to steer Kenya’s social economic transformation.

    On his changes, the president nominated two new members to be approved by parliament for appointment to be cabinet secretaries in the ministry of Gender, Culture, The Arts and Heritage and the Ministry of Public service, Human Capital Development and special programmes.

    Nominations

    The president nominated Ms. Hanna Wendot Cheptumo to be approved for appointment to the Ministry of Gender, Culture, The Arts and heritage a position that was recently created by president Ruto while Hon. Geofrey K. Kiringa Ruku was nominated for appointment to the Ministry of Public Service, Human Capital Development and special programmers a position which was held by Justin Muturi who has been kicked out of government.

    Portfolio reassignments

    In the portfolio reassignments, president Ruto reassigned Hon. Aden Bare Duale, EGH to the ministry of Health a position which was held by Dr. Debra Mlongo Barasa while he reassigned Dr. Debra Mlongo Barasa to the Ministry of Environment, Climate change and forestry which was held by Hon. Aden Bare Duale until the reassignments by President William Ruto.

    Justin Muturi sacked by president Ruto

    President Willaim Samoei Ruto has sacked Justin Muturi, this comes days after Muturi turned to criticizing the government in which he was serving. Muturi was serving as Cabinet Secretary for Public service and Human capital development until he was sacked today.

    Muturi has been on the spot for calling out on president Ruto and criticizing the government. Muturi claimed the government facilitated abduction of his son while he was serving in the government claiming that its president Ruto who made a call before Muturi’s son was released by the abductors.

    Muturi was incompetent in the Attorney general office

    On Tuesday 25th march, 2025, President William Ruto termed Muturi as being incompetent while serving in the office of the Attorney general. President Ruto was speaking during the Iftar dinner which he hosted in state house Nairobi to mark the 10 last days of Ramadhan with the Muslim brothers and sisters.

    “I had a problem with the Attorney General who was there by then, he was fairly incompetent but I now have a very competent lady” President Ruto said while addressing the muslims in statehouse during Iftar dinner

    Muturi has consistently been advised to resign from his position, but he declined saying he will not resign and whoever that wants him to resign was supporting the kidnappings which he was against.

    Muturi declined to accompany president Ruto to Mt. Kenya

    On Mt. Kenya tour of president Ruto, Muturi said he will not accompany the president to mt. Kenya, he said he was not going to present president Ruto to his people in mt. Kenya when he was not comfortable working with him in the government.

    Justin Muturi’s position has been taken by new appointee by the president namely Geofrey Ruku who will be the new cabinet secretary for public service and human capital development.

    NAIROBI KENYA 25/03/2025 STATEHOUSE NAIROBI

    President William Ruto has today hit out to Cabinet Secretary ministry of public works and human capital development Justin Muturi for incompetence while in the office of the Attorney General. Speaking in Statehouse Nairobi during Iftar dinner with the Muslims to mark the last 10 days of Ramadhan, president Ruto said Justin Muturi was incompetent in the Attorney General office.

    “I had a problem with the Attorney general who was there, he was fairly incompetent, but I now have a very competent lady” president Ruto said.

    This comes days after the Cabinet Secretary standing out to criticize the government several showing his uncomfortable position in the same government.

    Muturi has on several occassions given press statements where he took time to criticise the ruling government on several matters that he feels needs urgent attention by the government. Muturi has also been absent on government functions headed by the president including cabinet meetings which he is required to attend.

    When told to resign, Muturi has refused on several occassions to resign claiming that whoever is telling him to resign is behind the criticism that he is speaking about. He recently said he is not going to resign but will continue to air out his views to the government.

    CS Muturi has been claiming the government was involved in abducting his son and went ahead to say that the president knew who was holding his son in communicado. Muturi goes ahead to say that he will not stop saying his mind even if it means facing the sack.

    Mount Kenya tour by president Ruto

    on whether Muturi will accompany the president during his planned tour of Mount Kenya, Muturi said he will not accompany the president saying he has not been doing so before and will not do.
