    NAIROBI KENYA 25/03/2025 STATEHOUSE NAIROBI

    President William Ruto has today hit out to Cabinet Secretary ministry of public works and human capital development Justin Muturi for incompetence while in the office of the Attorney General. Speaking in Statehouse Nairobi during Iftar dinner with the Muslims to mark the last 10 days of Ramadhan, president Ruto said Justin Muturi was incompetent in the Attorney General office.

    “I had a problem with the Attorney general who was there, he was fairly incompetent, but I now have a very competent lady” president Ruto said.

    This comes days after the Cabinet Secretary standing out to criticize the government several showing his uncomfortable position in the same government.

    Muturi has on several occassions given press statements where he took time to criticise the ruling government on several matters that he feels needs urgent attention by the government. Muturi has also been absent on government functions headed by the president including cabinet meetings which he is required to attend.

    When told to resign, Muturi has refused on several occassions to resign claiming that whoever is telling him to resign is behind the criticism that he is speaking about. He recently said he is not going to resign but will continue to air out his views to the government.

    CS Muturi has been claiming the government was involved in abducting his son and went ahead to say that the president knew who was holding his son in communicado. Muturi goes ahead to say that he will not stop saying his mind even if it means facing the sack.

    Mount Kenya tour by president Ruto

    on whether Muturi will accompany the president during his planned tour of Mount Kenya, Muturi said he will not accompany the president saying he has not been doing so before and will not do.

    The president of the republic of Kenya H.E William Ruto has today made changes to the government in an excecutive order no. 1 of 2025 where he has caused nominations to and reassignment of state departments as well as postings to the nation’s foreign service.

    The changes comes to harness the opportunities within emerging sectors of the economy as well as adressing challenges affecting Kenyans and promote the Bottom up economic transformation agenda.

    1. In promotions, Mr Amos Gatecha was promoted from Principal Secretary Public service to deputy head of public service in the Excecutiveofficeof the president.

    2. Professor Edward Kisiangani was appointed as senior advisor and member of the presidents council of economic affairs.

    13. CPA Carren Agengo Achieng was nominated for appointment as principal secreatry for state department for Children welfare services in the ministry of labour and social protection.
    14. Mr. Adan Abdi Milla nominated for appointment as principal secretary in the state department for Shipping and Maritime affairs in the ministry of Mining, Blue economy and maritime affairs.
