Kiambu county governor finally spills the beans after he was arrested by the Ethics and Anti-corruption detectives at his home early today where they recovered some cash amount of money in form of kenyan currencies and dollars.

Wamatangi woes

The Kiambu county governor Kimani Wamatangi has finally spoken after he was arrested by the Ethics and Anti-corruption officials for alleged corruption and embezzlement of public money. In the operation which took place at his home, Money was recovered in cash which amounted to ksh. 12 Million in kenyan currency and United states dollars. However the governor has come out to claim it was a political whitch hunt in efforts to shut him from doing developments to the people of Kiambu county.

The governor says it is political intimidation to make his government fail from delivering his mandate to Kiambu residents. He goes on to blame the police for his arrest saying he was elected by the people of Kiambu and not the police.

Governor Wamatangi stated that there are people afraid of his development who wants to bring him and his government down but insisted that he will do double what he has already done to make sure the people of Kiambu are served as required.
