Yoweri Museven re-elected as Uganda President
Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has been the president of Uganda for the last 40 years and was reelected to continue serving the people of Uganda. In what seems as not possible, it was possible in Uganda as well as a few countries in Africa.
The recently concluded elections in Tanzania sparked mixed reactions from neighboring countries and the international community in what was seen as no democracy exercised.
Uganda took the same direction from Tanzania’s mama Samia Suluhu Hassan who abducted all her opponents and jailed them for treason remaining as the only opponent in the presidential race with other non popular individuals who meant nothing in the presidential race.
A country led by old people
Uganda remains the country being led by old men from the president himself Yoweri Kaguta Museven and the General Moses Ali who was elected as member of parliament for Adjumani west constituency.
From the images shared online of General Moses Ali, he is old enough to the extent he seems weak from old age rendering him non productive to the citizens of Adjumani constituency in Uganda.
Museven actions on elections and declaration
Yoweri Kaguta Museven the president of Uganda for more than 4 decades had earlier declared that he will not hand over power to any person even if he was defeated in the elections.
Before even the campaigns started, Museveni arrested key opponents in the presidential race including Dr. Kizza Besigye who is detained by the military in Uganda. Besigye was tried in the martial courts against the law and is still detained in Uganda awaiting trial.
Dr. Kizza Besigye was denied the opportunity of running for president through arresting and detaining him in the courts of Military without giving him fair trial.
Continent of dictators
Africa has remained a continent of dictators who are worse than the colonialists who ruled Africa some years a go. In most countries in the continent, leaders have portrayed some kind of dictatorship by subjecting their political opponebts to torture, killings and imprisonmnet.
